Comcast has been a long-time friend and supporter of The Partnership at Drugfree.org, a nonprofit that helps parents prevent, intervene in and find treatment for drug and alcohol use by their children. As a valued Comcast subscriber, we want to share important information with you to make sure that any important child in your life knows the risks of drug and alcohol abuse.

Hi, I’m Melissa Gilbert. I’m the national spokesperson for The Partnership at Drugfree.org. You may know me from the role I played on the television drama "Little House on the Prairie." Well, I’ve grown up quite a bit since then and while I continue to act, I’m now also an author and mother.
I talk with a lot of other parents and caregivers and I think we can all agree that raising kids is no easy task. In today’s world, we face all kinds of challenges. Especially when it comes to drugs and alcohol.

I like to think of us parents in three camps:

•Some of us want to find out how to prevent our child from ever drinking or using drugs – but aren’t sure how.

•Some of us have a hunch – or maybe even know – that our child is experimenting with alcohol or drugs, but don’t know what to do about it.

•Some of us have a child with a drug or alcohol problem – and have no idea where to turn.

Well, whichever camp you’re in, I want you to know two important things:

1. You’re not alone.

2. There is a wonderful resource to help you. It’s called The Partnership at Drugfree.org.

3. Please take a minute to learn more.

Melissa Gilbert
National Spokesperson
The Partnership at Drugfree.org
