If they did a probation or parole check on him and a gun was found in the home accessible to him he’d be in trouble. Some people say if the gun is in a locked safe, in a locked room the felon does not have access to, it would be legal. But your rolling the dice because if he got arrested for a gun in the home he’d have mandatory jail/prison time.
